The news headlines startled and saddened me today. A clinic with offices based in NYC and LA has announced it new capabilities, for lack of better terms, branding your baby. The center will allow parents to determine the sex, eye, skin and hair color of their baby. Why would parents try to play God and treat their baby as if it were a customizable tech purchase or a customizable doll? The embryos that are not selected as ideal, meaning they don’t have blue eyes or hair, will be discarded in this extreme fertility process.

I sincerely hope that people do not utilize this ridiculous service. When will some people learn that you shouldn’t play around with nature or discredit its worth in such a materialistic egotistical way.
